La Lupita y el Mezcal

Entré al restaurante La Lupita y lo primero que vi, fue el color rosa. Un rosa fuerte, así como los mexicanos, rosa mexicano.

I walked into La Lupita restaurant and the first thing I saw was the pink color. A bright pink, Mexican Pink!

A lo lejos, una Virgencita; y si queremos irnos todavía más para allá, podía ver mesas repletas de personas que reían y sonreían junto con canciones que te invitaban a cantar.

And far away there she was, la Virgencita; You could also see the tables full with people that laugh and smile, you could hear the music play in the background of the restaurant, you would likely join the song.

De repente mi vista se situó en una mesa, con hombres y mujeres, compartiendo miradas de placer al comer los platillos que estaba ante sus ojos. Eran tacos. Tacos de arrachera, tacos de cochinita pibíl, tacos de barbacoa, de carnitas, de camarón y de pescado empanizado. ¡No importa el taco que se te antoje, La Lupita lo tiene!

Suddenly my eyes went to a table with some men and woman that were sharing some pleasure looks in their faces because of the food that was in front of them. The food were tacos. Tacos of rib eye, tacos of cochinita, tacos of barbeque and carnitas. Fish tacos and shrimp tacos. Imagine a taco that you crave for, probably La Lupita will have it.

Esos benditos tacos que los mexicanos tanto nos saboreamos estaban acompañados de un guacamole picosito y una salsita de cacahuate que no te puedes perder, los tacos de La Lupita sí te van a sorprender.

Those tacos that we mexicans love to eat, were accompanied by a spicy guacamole and a peanut salsita that you can´t miss, the tacos of La Lupita will surprise you.

Mi recomendación es que vayas preparado para comer algo más que eso. Este restaurante tiene desde esquites y frijoles charros, hasta más de 30 tipos de diferentes mezcales que llegan desde Oaxaca y Tamaulipas, hasta Durango y Guerrero. La variedad de bebidas  te va a poner en un serio aprieto al momento de elegir. 

¡Arriésgate a probar algo diferente! Aunque este restaurante cuenta con una variedad de cervezas artesanales exquisitas, también puedes irte por el martini de tamarindo que te aseguro, no te va a decepcionar.

My recommendation it´s that you go fully prepared to eat something else, rather than tacos. This restaurant has from esquites and frijoles charros, to more than 30 types of mezcal from different regions of México. (Oaxaca, Tamaulipas, Durango, Guerrero and more) The variety drinks will put you in some trouble when ordering. 

Don´t go for your usual beer, try something different! This restaurant has a variety of amazing craft beers, you can also order the tamarind martini, I assure you it will not disappoint you.

Ir a La Lupita es relajarte y tener una buena platica con la compañía que amas, tomarte unos cuantos tragos para terminar tu día como debe de ser y aprovechar que en el centro de San José del Cabo, existe un lugar en el que puedes combinar las tres cosas más importantes para una buena salida: ambiente, bebidas y unos ricos tacos.

Going to La Lupita is about relaxing, having a good talk in the company of your love ones, having some drinks after a day of work and taking advantage that in downtown San José del Cabo, you can combine: atmosphere, music and great tacos.
