Three beautiful beaches in Los Cabos

From all the beaches in Los Cabos, there are three that you can not miss. If you are vacationing for the first time in Baja California Sur, or if you are already living here and want to try out new adventures, we have some good advices for you!

Let´s start with Las Viudas. It is small, quiet and rocky beach near the sea. The rocks block the breaking of the waves, forming small pool like areas to relax in. The ocean of this beach, as same as the other ones has a variety of blue colors, from aqua blue to turquoise you will surely enjoy!

One of Las Viudas charms comes from it's accessible car access, very comfortable for  you to park if are driving.


What can you do in Las Viudas?
  • Grab your camera, you will shot amazing pictures!
  • Get some sun and a tan lotion.
  • Play a football game



Santa Maria is one of the most visited beaches in Los Cabos. It is known to be one of the best places to snorkel. In addition to its beauty, this beach just received the Blue Flag certification. It has bathrooms, ramps and a concrete entryway from the beach to the bathrooms.Yachts and boats anchor near the shore for their passenger to swim. 

Santa Maria has rich marine biosphere. It is a natural aquarium where people can enjoy snorkeling, children can play while their dads are laying down.

Also, this beach has equipment and lifeguards that are constantly looking outfor the sake of everyone. The parking lot was build out of cement and has a wide space.

What can you do in Santa Maria?
  • Build sand castles
  • Snorkel
  • Swim with the amazing biosphere



Last but not least, let´s talk about Chileno Bay. This beach, is one of the most popular of Los Cabos. Chileno is big and charming. Everytime I go, I enjoy swimming near the big rocks, where the water color changes to deep blue. The colors of this beach are also breathtaking, you can see your body through the water and the little fish saying hello.

Chileno also has lifeguards, public bathrooms and some palapas to keep yourself away from the sun. Lots of locals bring their own “ceviche” to eat  while having fun.
What to do in Chileno Bay?
  • Eat seafood
  • Listen to music while playing at the beach
  • Read a book


Do not worry about getting to these three beaches, there are signs at the Touristic Corridor that will show you where to take a turn. Just be watchful for the big signs with the names of each beach. The three are close to one another.
