San Jose Jazz Weekend is back!

The San Jose Jazz Weekend is back for you to enjoy an unforgettable time accompanied by family and friends. Starting Friday, February 16, visit the Plaza del Pescador in San Jose del Cabo to experience a great night and listen to the best jazz musicians.

Jazz is a musical genre that was born in the United States in the 19th century. A form of art and harmony, rhythms and elements of the blues, a mean of expression and innovation, characterized by three primordial components: a rhythmic quality known as swing, improvisation, and a phrasing or sound that reflects the personality of the musicians who interpret the melody.


The peak of this musical genre was in from 1920 to 1930 and its musical origins come from blues, African music, classical music and the minstrel. Jazz is mainly a product of African-American culture and had one of its greatest impacts in the city of New Orleans, United States.

In this 6th edition, San Jose Jazz Weekend invites you to walk the Plaza del Pescador, feel the relaxed atmosphere, enjoy the music, admire the art and taste the cuisine. Access to the festival is free to the general public from 5:00 pm to 11:00 pm.


The restaurants that are located in the Plaza del Pescador will offer the best of their cuisine so you can enjoy their creative dishes and spectacular flavors. Have a glass of wine and listen to harmonious sounds of jazz melodies, and why not? Ask your partner to dance!
