Playas Blue Flag en Baja California Sur

Blue Flag es un distintivo internacional que otorga la Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE) a playas y marinas que han alcanzado la excelencia en calidad de agua, gestión y educación ambiental; así como en seguridad y servicios. 

Blue Flag se ha consolidado como el distintivo más importante a nivel mundial, ya que cuenta con protocolos estandarizados y un estricto proceso de selección, verificación y seguimiento a nivel nacional e internacional. A la fecha se cuenta con más de 4 mil playas en 48 países. 

La FEE se fundó en 1981 con el objetivo de promover el desarrollo sustentable. Blue Flag es el primer programa de esta fundación, el cual surge en 1985 a partir de una propuesta de miembros franceses. Para 1987, el proyecto fue promovido por la Unión Europea, por lo que Blue Flag se puso en marcha en 10 países europeos, a través de una asociación entre la FEE y la Comisión Europea.

En respuesta al interés internacional se convirtió en una organización global a partir del año 2000.
Actualmente la Fundación cuenta con 77 organizaciones miembros, en 65 países. 

Pronatura México A.C. es una organización sin fines de lucro, dedicada a conservar la biodiversidad de nuestro país. Se creó en 1981 por un grupo de empresarios y científicos amantes de la naturaleza y sus acciones están orientadas a lograr la conservación y el desarrollo sustentable de regiones y sitios prioritarios.  Es la exclusiva operadora nacional de Blue Flag en México

Durante la Segunda Reunión del Jurado Nacional Blue Flag para la temporada 2015 - 2016 Pronatura México A.C. anunció que fue aceptada la postulación de 20 playas y 1 marina mexicanas.

At the popular local and guest favourite, Agua by Larbi, the large and airy space has been newly redesigned with an earth-to-sea tone design scheme by David Mexico.
