La ciudad de La Paz será sede
del Torneo Internacional Big Blue, una competencia de buceo a profundidad que
tiene como meta promocionar el deporte e invitar a los jóvenes a que se
interesen en actividades sanas. En este torneo deportivo participarán las
máximas potencias del mundo.
The city of La Paz will host
Big Blue the International Tournament. A deep diving competition aiming to
promote the sport and invite young people to take an interest, in healthy
activities. The best diving athletes in the world will compete in this sport.
La competencia organizada por
la Secretaría Estatal de Turismo, se llevará a cabo en los alrededores de la
Isla Espíritu Santo del 1 al 9 de noviembre del 2015. A la rueda de prensa de presentación del torneo asistieron el
encargado de Despacho de la Secretaría estatal de Turismo, Fernando Ojeda
Aguilar, el Director General del Fidecomiso de Turismo Estatal Rogerio Ampudia
Gudiño y la campeona nacional y medallista de este deporte, Estrella Navarro
Holm.
The competition organized by the State Secretary of
Tourism, will be held around
the Espiritu Santo Island from November 1st to 9th 2015. At the oficial presentation to the
press where Fernando Ojeda Aguilar, in charge of the
Office of the Tourism Secretary, Rogerio Ampudia Gudiño, General Director of the State Tourism Fidecomiso
and national champion and medalist of the sport, Estrella Navarro Holm.
Un estimado de 30 campeones a
nivel mundial estarán compitiendo para probar quién es el atleta destacado de
este año.
An estimated 30 world champions will be competing to prove who is the outstanding athlete of the year.
La idea de la competencia del
buceo es alcanzar la mayor profundidad posible. Existen tres categorías: La
primera es peso constante, sumergiéndose a profundidad usando una gran mono aleta;
la segunda consiste en un peso constante sin aletas, bajando a la profundidad y
regresando en nado estilo pecho sin tocar la línea de seguridad. La tercera, de
inmersión libre, donde debes sumergirte hasta lo más profundo, jalando de la línea
de seguridad.
The idea of the competition is to dive as deep as possible. There are three
categories: The first is constant
weight, which is diving
using a great monofin; the second
is constant weight without fins, diving to the depth and returning in breaststroke swimming without touching the security line. The third is free immersion, where
you dive into the
depths pulling the safety line.

Baja California Sur fue
reconocida a nivel mundial como el tercer mejor lugar para la práctica del
buceo, destacando sitios como Cabo Pulmo, Loreto e Isla Espíritu Santo, sede del Big Blue.
Baja California Sur was recognized worldwide as the third best place to
practice diving for highlighted spots like Cabo Pulmo, Loreto and the
headquarters of this years Big Blue competition, the Espiritu Santo Island.
