México logró en el año 2010 que por primera vez el sistema alimentario de un país accediera al rango de Patrimonio Cultural de la Humanidad, título conferido por la UNESCO.
In 2010, UNESCO included the food culture of Mexico in the organization’s Cultural Heritage of Humanity. It was the first time a country had been awarded such a title. The distinction was conferred in order to preserve an important part of our heritage.

En Baja California Sur la esencia del arte culinario ha sido preservada por chefs mexicanos y chefs internacionales que aprovechan al máximo los ingredientes de esta tierra para cocinar sus recetas tradicionales e innovar con comida fusión o de autor.
