Exploring the Ranches route/Explorando la Ruta de las Rancherías en Baja California Sue

Después de presentarles el artículo de Las 7 Rutas Mágicas de Los Cabos (edición 8, 2012) Tendencia el Arte de Viajar se aventuró un fin de semana para constatar que al día de hoy la Ruta de las Rancherías continúa siendo un atractivo de aventura rodeado de bellos paisajes, serenidad y reflexión.

After presenting you the article The 7 Magical Routes Los Cabos (Issue 8, 2012) Tendencia Magazine adventured this past weekend to state that until today the Ranches Route remains an attractive adventure surrounded by beautiful scenery, serenity and reflection.

Para aquellos que nos han preguntado cómo llegar, se debe tomar la carretera federal N.1 hacia La Paz por el lado de Cabo del Este. En esta ocasión visitamos Las Aguas Termales del Rancho de Santa Rita y la cascada en el Rancho Sol de Mayo, ambos lugares pertenecientes a la localidad de Santiago.

For those who have asked us how to get there, we highly recommend taking a tour with a certified guide. Even if you are adventurous road signs are not very clear. However you will need to take Federal Highway No.1 to La Paz on the side of East Cape. This time we visited The Hot Springs at Santa Rita Ranch  and the waterfall in Rancho Sol de Mayo, both places belonging to the town of Santiago.

La mejor época para realizar este recorrido es después de la temporada de huracanes y lluvias, cuando los arroyos están secos para pasar con menor riesgo en vehículo. ¡Es una verdadera aventura! Con mapa en mano pues la señal de GPS no esta disponible por estas zonas.

The best time for this tour is after the hurricane and rain season, when the rivers are dry and less risk  exist to get the vehicle there. It's a real adventure! Do not forget taking your ATLAS issue and printed map, because the GPS signal is not available for these areas.
