The San Jose Jazz Weekend is back for you to enjoy an unforgettable time accompanied by family and friends. Starting Friday, February 16, visit the Plaza del Pescador in San Jose del Cabo to experience a great night and listen to the best jazz musicians.

Jazz is a musical genre that was born in the United States in the 19th century. A form of art and harmony, rhythms and elements of the blues, a mean of expression and innovation, characterized by three primordial components: a rhythmic quality known as swing, improvisation, and a phrasing or sound that reflects the personality of the musicians who interpret the melody.

The peak of this musical genre was in from 1920 to 1930 and its musical origins come from blues, African music, classical music and the minstrel. Jazz is mainly a product of African-American culture and had one of its greatest impacts in the city of New Orleans, United States.

In this 6th edition, San Jose Jazz Weekend invites you to walk the Plaza del Pescador, feel the relaxed atmosphere, enjoy the music, admire the art and taste the cuisine. Access to the festival is free to the general public from 5:00 pm to 11:00 pm.

The restaurants that are located in the Plaza del Pescador will offer the best of their cuisine so you can enjoy their creative dishes and spectacular flavors. Have a glass of wine and listen to harmonious sounds of jazz melodies, and why not? Ask your partner to dance!

¡San Jose Jazz Weekend regresa!

El festival de San Jose Jazz Weekend está de regreso para que disfrutes de un fin de semana inolvidable acompañado de familiares y amigos. A partir del viernes 16 de febrero, asiste a la Plaza del Pescador en San José del Cabo para vivir otro año la experiencia de escuchar a los mejores músicos de jazz.

El jazz es un género musical que nació en Estados Unidos en el siglo XIX. Una forma de arte y armonía, ritmos y elementos del blues, que crean modelos de expresión e innovación, caracterizándose por tres componentes primordiales: una cualidad rítmica conocida como el swing, la improvisación, y un fraseo o sonido que refleja la personalidad de los músicos que interpretan la melodía.

El auge de este género musical fue en el periodo de 1920 a 1930 y sus orígenes musicales provienen del blues, la música africana, la música clásica y el minstral. El jazz es principalmente producto de la cultura afroamericana y tuvo uno de sus mayores impactos en la ciudad de Nueva Orleans, Estados Unidos.

En su sexta edición, San Jose Jazz Weekend te invita a caminar por la Plaza del Pescador, sentir el ambiente relajado, disfrutar la música, admirar el espacio de arte y degustar la gastronomía. Stories and experiences 2017. The recount from TENDENCIA!

The end of 2017 is just around the corner and along we remember the experiences that each one of us now has the pleasure of telling. Many of these moments are like a fairy tale: a marriage proposal, for example, makes our hearts happy and idealizes the next few years.

In the Romance edition, Tendencia El Arte de Viajar showed those unique and unparalleled details, such as the perfect proposal in one of the distinguished resorts, the dreamy decoration with flowers that embellish any event, dinners in the different restaurants that enhance gastronomic culture in Los Cabos and of course, the different and unique scenarios that both tourists and locals choose to say, I do!".

The following edition sought to delight with the growing gastronomy of the sudcaliforniano territory, revealing the art and discipline, above all, the vocation felt by the different chefs recognized worldwide to create exquisite dishes with flavors of Baja California Sur. The best restaurants are established in the peninsula and they consolidate to form impeccable menus and an unsurpassed customer service.

Without a doubt, it is a territory of unquestionable riches. For this reason, we took on the task of teaching you, with our adventure edition Discover, Explore & Experience, the wonders that exist in each municipality. Los Cabos, Todos Santos, La Paz, Comondu, Loreto, and Mulege are some of the places that should be on the list of destinations to be discovered next year.

The undisputed charm of Los Cabos places it as one of the most important cities internationally. Its majestic hotels, the famous Arch of Cabo San Lucas, the beaches with crystal clear waters such as Santa Maria and Chileno, nightlife and outdoor activities are part of its charm.

Todos Santos has strengthened it as a destination to spend quiet afternoons, next to the art and culture exhibitions, without leaving behind the boutique hotels and the incredible restaurants for a glass of red wine or a cocktail.

La Paz is a city with beautiful sunsets that can be enjoyed from anywhere, especially from the boardwalk. The serenity invites to take long walks while the sun hides in the twilight. A must visit is Balandra beach with family and friends, rest under a palapa while you relax on the beach.

Comundu is a recommended place for the outdoor enthusiast! Visit its beautiful bays, or go hiking and marvel at the flora of the region. Very close is Loreto. Here you can practice water sports and see the gray whales that, year after year, honor us with their presence. To finish this fun tour, explore the villages of Mulege, each one has traces of a warm history.

The events that are organized in Baja California Sur are an important part of the tourist culture that defines us. The Dream, Plan & Experience edition is a travel guide to plan your trip and at the same time enjoy an event. Los Cabos is a dynamic city that does not rest.

Sabor a Cabo undoubtedly positions itself as one of our favorites. With the participation of the best restaurants in Los Cabos, this event brings together wine houses, gastronomy, music, and fun!

Another of the significant activities for the peninsula of Baja California Sur is the fishing tournaments. The Bisbee's Black & Blue tournament has been held for more than 35 consecutive editions.

Los Cabos Film Festival, can’t be left out! This event fuses the best of cinema in a week of red carpets, interviews with the main actors, exclusive parties and the seven art that directors create in each film. It is an experience to repeat every year!

We closed the year with an edition full of history and information that brought us back to the origin of the territory. Discover, Travel & Experience is a journey to learn about the first place called California. Particularly admirable for concentrating vestiges of the past as the Camino Real de las Misiones.
